Meet ELY’s Founder
Hello Friends! My name is Emara— I am a registered nurse turned wellness entrepreneur from Canada’s East Coast. My first year in nursing, I quickly felt the emotional strain of an understaffed healthcare system, leading to burnout and exhaustion. Believe me when I say, I know firsthand how overwhelming it is to give everything to your job while feeling like you’re not enough.
Yoga became my anchor during nursing school, and after completing my first 200-hour YTT, I learned about energy and the importance of taking care of it. It lead me down the path of healing my own nervous system through meditation and breathwork, and now, I share all of these practices to support others in restoring their energy and finding better balance in life— on the mind, body, and soul level.
In 2024 I opened Lincoln Street Yoga Studio in Lunenburg , NS and kick started ELY Health. I dove head first into making my passion an integral part of my life. I quickly realized burnout wasn’t strictly tied to my nursing career but rather my approach to work and how my own self care kept dropping to the bottom of my to do list. Shifting my mindset , creating strong boundaries and making my daily mindfulness practice a non negotiable saved me once again. So, if you’re feeling depleted or disconnected from your well-being, I’m here to help you reclaim your energy, restore balance, and show up as your best self—without the guilt. You are deserving of a life well lived - let’s make the most of our time here, together!

One of the first things I did to heal my nervous system was start meditating and practicing yoga at home. When I started working 12 hours shifts I didn’t always have time to make it to the studio… so I knew I wanted to create a platform to make practices super accessible. The Studio, brings you everything you could need. Pilates, yoga, breathwork, meditation, guided runs & mom and baby workouts! We know wellness isn’t a one size fits all approach so we have something for every day , every mood and every energy level! Find your practice with us —anytime, anywhere.

That’s why I created The Healthcare Edit—a collection of practices designed specifically for women in healthcare seeking balance and wellness amidst the fluorescent lights, 12+ hour shifts, overnight calls, and the emotional weight of witnessing trauma, death, and dying.
